2023-2024 Celebrations

Dear Cle Elum-Roslyn Community,

Congratulations to all of our graduates of 2024 on a fantastic and productive school year! This year has been marked by impressive academic and extracurricular achievements that showcase the hard work and dedication of the students. We can not thank you enough for all the support, donations, passing of school levies, turn out at school events, and making us the heart of this amazing community.

The Class of 2024 excelled in a wide variety of areas both academically and in extracurricular activities. Swiftwater Learning Center graduated 6 students this year, and two of the graduates will be pursuing college, many are pursuing technical schools and the world of work.  Swiftwater Learning Center students also made notable contributions, particularly with their annual horticulture project. This year, they successfully grew and sold various plants, including tomatoes and peppers, demonstrating their green thumbs and entrepreneurial spirit at the annual Plant Sale.
CERHS graduated 45 students and 100% of students met our 3E’s commitment in our Strategic Plan. The goal is that we increase student guidance to careers and post high school options. Ensuring that all students graduate with a clear vision of either employment, enlistment, or enrollment (3E’s). We also wanted to expand programming that would better match student interest and passions, while providing the opportunity to offer college credit in high school. Over 100 high school students (almost 50% of class) earned college credits this year through this expansion. Students of this class were accepted into competitive universities like UW or Stanford, and we had 17  graduates directly enrolled into CWU with our “on the spot admissions” partnership with CWU. In addition, we are excited to announce that 70+% of the senior class has accepted the challenge of post high school training (4 and 2 year College, Trade Schools, Enlistment). $387,640 was awarded to students in local scholarships, and if we include the state, national, and scholarships awarded by the schools, our Seniors earned a total of $545,640! We are so proud of what our students are accomplishing and grateful for your generosity.

On the Spot Admisssions
Some of our biggest accomplishments this year were increasing student choice in coursework, and expanding our career and technical programs. Our counseling team invested a great deal of their time improving career exposure at both the MS and HS. This included college visits, guest speakers, alumni panels, our Work Based learning program and “Leaving to Learn” initiative, internships and mentoring. One of our graduates will be pursuing her Agricultural Law degree because of her exposure to the coursework at the HS (Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Pathway). Increased guidance to careers and showing students there are a variety of ways (3E’s) to reach these goals, is showing exceptional promise. Interested in helping? Come talk about your path to your career and share with students the insights you wish someone would have shared with you.

Our students have shown an increased sense of belonging, and formed many new clubs and activities this year. Did you know our Esports team was runner up and got second place at State? Many of our seniors also gave back to their community through volunteer opportunities in our Interact Club, National Honor Society (NHS), and participating in our new Peer Mentoring program where upperclassmen mentor and support students in the Middle and Elementary Schools. FFA members went to State to compete this year, and 8 of our FBLA MS students who competed in State are heading to Nationals in Florida at the end of the month! Our school’s various clubs, such as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) have provided platforms for students to develop their skills and leadership abilities. Our Cle Elum-Roslyn Music Programs have also put on many talented performances, with CERSD having the largest band at the Beginning Band Festival with 53 students in attendance! Efforts like these highlight their commitment to making a positive impact on their community.

Our athletic programs continue to rise and we had a record year of State Send offs which included:

  • Girls Soccer - League 1st Place, State Appearance - First Round.

  • Boys Cross Country - State 12th Place.

  • Girls Basketball - State Appearance - Second Round.

  • Wrestling - 3 male athletes to state, JJ Beiter took 3rd place in 175lb, 1 female athlete to state.

  • Baseball - League 1st Place, Districts 3rd Place, State Appearance - First Round.
